2011 / The idea is born
It’s when the founder comes with the idea to introduce an accommodation experience that not only provides a range of advantages for those who stay but also to add value to all these property owners seeking an additional revenue stream for their properties during the very deep crisis of Greece on 2011. The beauty of the country of origin of the founder and the opportunity that was born due to the real estate market crisis was the sparkle for the founder to come up with the TravelStaytion.com idea.
A concept completely different with the current existing view that were handling this as a marketplace of property exchange and an opportunity for tenants and owners to make some extra cash from their spare room or flat.
We consider as an accommodation of equal standards of the hotel room and service offering a different travel experience, that you can feel like home, while you enjoying a property dedicated to service guests' needs.
2012 / A trip starts
With an ambitious plan and a few available tools the TravelStaytion.com launch on October of 2012. The proposition founds ground quickly to many property management companies already established in several countries and TravelStaytion.com within 7 months offers 7000 properties mainly in Europe.
The feel like home experience was the target and the soul of our brand. Our innovative message and venture was featured in the Guardian a few months since the launch of the project giving boost and acknowledgement to the TravelStaytion.com team to give more effort and believe to this ambitious and competitive project.
2013 / A great support is given
A few months only after the operation, Cass Business school invites to it’s incubation spaces available for promising ventures of the school alumni’s. A fresh start up back to these days is given the support and the tools of a very well located and equipped incubation space, offering a home to TravelStaytion.com since before was a work from home company both for the founder and the whole team that was coordinating with tools like skype.
Cass Business School not only offers a business base for the venture, but also gives a reassurance to the founding team to stand in solid ground and work much more aggressively in the heart of City of London, a very inspiring and corporate environment and get significant influence and advise from the senor and highly skilled academic team , on management and business development practises.
2015 / A start up transforms to business
Two years after the launch of the project , TravelStaytion.com is an operational profitable company that is moving to it’s headquarters in the heart of Notting Hill. It’s time for the team to grow, stands on its own feet and grow. With more than 22.000 properties featured in the platform and thousands of travellers, the company provides excellent accommodation experience with the main destination London and keeps growing and expanding in more than 300 destinations with only target to gather a portfolio of professionally managed properties.
The holiday rental market is on a crazy activity , with more and more competitors joining the race. Our unique proposition together with the customer satisfaction orientation creates a solid base of repeating customers enjoying this convenience and the personal touch and service compared to the impersonal, peer to peer orieneted holiday rental market.
2017 / Grow with solid partnerships and alliances
Years have been passed, TravelStaytion.com has a core team and business and walks successfully the very competitive road of holiday rentals. A new and very promising market. Having a great property database and a constantly growing traveller audience, we are now looking to make our services available to a bigger audience.
We launch the TravelStaytion.com Partners programme, a B2B platform inviting all travel and accommodation professionals to join this market and offer apartments and villas to their customers, making possible to offer a service to their customers , that they seem loosing the last few years.
Later this period TravelStaytion.com properties come available in Trivago and the major price comparison websites , and get exposure to thousands of travellers to a huge travel audience and increase the occupancy rate of our hosts.
2019 / Made by professionals, designed for quality seekers
TravelStaytion.com changes outfit and loudly showcase it’s purpose. To create a hub for professionally managed properties only from verified hosts and property managers.
Together with our new outfit we introduce the Host Reception, a feature available to all of our hosts to showcase and present the complete range of the services provided. We first, in the holiday rental market launching this feature, is fully aligned with our philosophy, that an apartment or villa is not a hotel alternative, an affordable solution due to the less services and the poor quality and uncertainty. Our properties with our professional hosts are offering an experience, reassuring a smooth accommodation experience ready to accommodate not only in their properties but also additional requests our guests may have such as concierge or physical presence help.
With dedication to the best service and convenience of our guests and hosts we also introduce the split and shared payment features. Our guests can book in advance and pay in instalments the booking value. Our guests can make a reservation and share the payments within the travel group.
